Who wants to see some progress!?

Ciau March! I will not miss you because summer is right around the corner and I'm working on this body to rock it out! ;)

This week was very positive. My goal was to post a lot of the stuff that I'm doing to motivate all who wish to follow me on this journey to the stage, and I believe I accomplished that this week! I received an overwhelming amount of support from all my friends on Facebook and also my friends who come see me at Pizza nova :) Thank you!

Since its the end of the month, it progress update time! so here we go.

Hips: 35 1/2'

Weight: 110lbs
Fat: 20.3%
Muscle: 40.8%

Total loss since February 22 2013

Bust -1/2'

No loss in legs
No loss in arms
2lbs lost in weight
1% loss in fat
.6% gain in muscle

So, that's my progress so far, I see so much difference in my body as I look in the mirror. Losing 2 lbs this month does not break my heart or make me worried, I feel more muscular and lean, I'm not complaining!!

12 Weeks out!!!!!!!

12 Weeks out!!! OMG!!! This is a pivotal time, anyone who is competing knows that this marks the season to buckle down and get ready to shred!! I'm so excited! Being part of this, is an awesome experience! why? well, to start its spring and what better time to shred for the summer time! it may not seem like spring because its still snowing but this is the time to begin planing and acting on your goals for the summer time! and second I am honored to be working with my coach Brianna Mogg! Shes a UFE PRO and she also graced the pages of OXYGEN <<<< magazine for April on stands now !!! I want to go over what will be happening in the next 12 weeks, other than the obvious (time will fly), theres a lot of work to be done, it won't be easy, but I will do everything my coach Brianna tells me, I'm ready to focus even more to achieve my goal for June 22 2013. My diet will be changing, my protein is changing to one that has 0 sugar and next to no carbs (whey protein isolate), there's absolutely no cheating! my work outs will also increase especially my cardio, I'm also getting some assistance with a fat burner because we all have that stubborn fat and of course the fun stuff like getting fitted for my bikini, choosing colors that will compliment my skin tone, practising my poses (pics below), start UV tanning on a low bed 3X/week, booking the hotel and the most important part preparing myself mentally for an event that feels like I'm getting married, which it kinda is, its a commitment to staying fit, I owe it to myself to stay fit for the many years that I neglected myself. I don't feel guilty couse I'm doing something about it and I love myself more than I have loved myself in my entire life and I know many of you are doing the same and I'm so proud of you!

I wanted to also take this time to thank everyone who has been cheering me on, you have no idea how many times I've broken down and wanted to throw the towel and just give-up and thanks to all of you who have the most amazing words to say have kept me going, I'v collect myself and kept my head up. I'm also very lucky and blessed to have my hubby by my side, he has seen me at my worst and at my best and he has never given up on me. It may sound cheesy but I really don't know what I would do without him, his support is unconditional, his love for me is more than words can say and he expresses those feeling every single day. In the 8 years that we have been together, we have grown from high school sweethearts to a couple that have been thru difficult times and still never gave up on each other couse we knew and we know that arguing is healthy in a relationship as long as you know you will never let them go just because you disagree on something. I believe that those disagreements make our relationship that more special because we always respect and listen to each other without being judgemental. We both know we can confide in one another and that's hard to do when your getting to know one another, its not something you expect, its something you prove to each other over time. So, THANK YOU to all of you for being part of my journey! I will continue to post my progress and motivate you to do the same because keeping an active lifestyle accompanied by a balanced diet will make everything else seem perfect.

The UFE seminar was awesome!! everyone was so nice and cheering each other on. I got to meet my "tan lady" Louise, shes so sweet!!! Monaco sun tanning has by far, the best tanning products out there! I got this body scrub that has pH in it, she mentioned because woman tend to have up and down hormonal changes when competing they tend to get a little "green" (literally) around the pelvic and lower back area when they get spray tanned, she said with this product having pH it helps with this problem and it smells like green apples! Moving onto my bikini, I will actually be getting a custom made bikini just because it needs to fit like a glove! on the day of competition I won't have to worry about tan, make-up, hair or my bikini because I will have the best people helping me out, so I just have to concentrate on strutting my stuff on stage! The day itself will be stressful so having these main things taken care of is very important!! with this seminar it lets me know that this is a project, a project about discipline and sculpting your body and once on stage you put everything you got to display it the best you can!

This week was excellent, I'm in good spirits! I've been getting 7-8 hours sleep every night, my meals are always pre-made so I don't have issues there, I'v been looking at the more positive side of things and its truly made a difference. I'v come  to realize that I'm not only seeing changes on the outside but I'm feeling how my hormones and chemical levels are beginning to adjust to the changes too. I guess that this is something we can never prepare for, so, it kind of hits you like a wave. Adjusting to this can only come by self-talk, I may seem crazy but I talk to myself alot, not out loud but inside, I talk to myself to calm me down, I'v also learned to be in tune with my feelings and knowing whats right and whats not. Its not easy but working on it is getting me somewhere and its definitely working for me!

I was thinking last night on adding my fav work out of the week, they would be posted on Friday possibly giving you some ideas on doing some fitness moves in the house, since I work out at home so at times I have to get creative. Not sure yet, but I will be posting some more videos for you to see what my exercises are like.

15 weeks out


FRIDAY!!! yay weekend!!! I began my week with a really horrible dream and thank goodness it was just a dream. This is how it went, I was at the competition and I brought the wrong bikini! it was horrible, it didn't match and it didn't match the criteria, I was crying in the washroom, ended up calling a friend of mine, letting him know what was going on, he told me the tanning guy brought a box full of bikinis so I rush over to the booth, blunged into the box and to my luck there all LARGE!!! I dug some more and found a small bikini bottom neon green with an orange bikini top, I convinced myself that this was going to be the bikini I was going to walk out with lol, so now I need my spray tan, next thing I know, I see the guy packing everything so I tell him I need to get sprayed he says " do you hear that?...(there was music playing in the background) I say "yes" he replies " theres a name for that" I'm looking at him clueless and say " a Q"? he says " exactly, so the shows starting in 2 min" I was freaking out I never felt so messed up lol and thank goodness my boyfriend woke me up!! I remember this dream like it actually happened lol it was horrible! I have been stressing about the competition, I think about it day and night, my entire day, life, whatever you want to call it, it surrounds this competition and sometimes it really takes hold and I stress. Its not easy but I maintain my focus and take it one day at a time. I'm 15 weeks out!

Tomorrow is my seminar! 12pm-4pm, I'm excited to meet the competitors its going to be nice talking to people that are doing and going thru the same thing I am. Being able to relate to them and share tips is something I need right now. I got my 5' stiletto heels yesterday! they are so small! I have to heat the plastic a bit to fit my foot in it lol, the length is perfect its just I guess my foot is a bit wide and shoes are narrow! I wore them last night when I got back from work for about 5-10 min and my feet were already hurting! but they are soooo sexy! pics below.

I've replaced my kickboxing video with INSANITY! I felt I was getting to us to the kickboxing and not getting a very good sweat from it no more so now I've pumped up the heat and I'm doing Insanity cardio 6X/week and weights 5X/per week, its brutal but I love the pump I get!!! I've been sore all over! I never liked it before but now I love it, I can finish the work out and push myself everytime.
 
Also wanted to share with you, UFE is having a contest, you make a video of what your doing to prepair for the competition and there are great prizes up for grabs, this is what I'm working on now, just making a 4 min video on everything I'm doing and I will for sure be sharing that with you all, so stay tuned!

saying no to cravings


Yet another week has flown by me. Its been the hardest week so far. I don't know if I have said that before but I feel like this week was different than all the other weeks. I feel like I'm going crazy with cravings!! Its been so intense and unbearable!! I had my cheat meal early this week, its funny couse when I decide to have a cheat day, I don't know what to cheat on lol. Not sure why this happens but I never feel satisfied or happy either......crazy no? well any who, I wanted to share with you what surrounds me on a daily basis. Family business has its benefits but in this case I find no benefit working here lol and I have posted some pics so you get an idea of what I mean.....

you may be thinking " how do you do this week in and out"? well, I start distracting myself, I begin to google bikinis and colours that may look good on me, I go on Facebook and read posts from the fitness groups I follow and its very motivating and inspiring and its truly what has kept me going. I also think and picture myself on the day of competition and I definitely do not want to feel or look like I don't belong there, I know all the woman that will be there are probably going thru the same feelings as me and we have to constantly keep on top of whats next and how to push ourselves to succeed in our goals. I'm not giving up!!! Plus I'v enjoyed these indulgences way too long!!!
 
On another note, March 9 2013 is my seminar, it will cover everything about the show and what to expect. Super excited!! I'll get to meet the woman and men who will be competing, tips for the day of and much more, I will fill you guys in! The one thing that' next on my list is learning the poses, at the seminar they will cover it but I will probably purchase a DVD that UFE has so I don't screw up! and I'll also have to start looking for some clear stiletto heels (5-6')!! yikes.... Practice, is key and I may make a video of me practicing my poses so you can see my progress with that too! so a lot happening! Once I narrow down the colours for my bikini I will post that too! or maybe leave it as a surprise....hmmm
 
Ok, lets battle ahead, on to another week! stay positive and don't settle, get better! LOL
